Coding Lab wins Tokyo Bay eSG award - Minecraft Cup 2023
We are thrilled to announce that the Coding Lab Pro Builders team has been awarded the Tokyo Bay eSG Award - the ONLY Team from the National Japan Minecraft Cup 2023 to be accorded this honour!
Winning Top Secondary School Contestant at NOI 2024 (+ multiple Golds)!
We are proud to announce that our students have once again shown their amazing programming abilities at the annual National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI), and clinched 2 Golds and 3 Bronze. We are also excited to have our student, Derrick, awarded the Top Secondary School Contestant award!
We won the Grand Prize and Best Programming Award at the 2023 Minecraft Cup!

Winning 3 Platinum Medals (Top Awards) – Hwa Chong Infocomm Challenge 2023!
We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to our exceptional students, Chen-Xuan, Emrys and Prabir, who have achieved remarkable accomplishments in this year’s Hwa Chong Infocomm Challenge 2023! 🏆 Chen-Xuan, Emrys, and Prabir have each earned the prestigious Platinum award, the highest honour bestowed upon the top 1.5% of participants.
Corporate Partner OCBC: Coaching Fresh Talents in Data Analytics
Once again, we’re glad for the opportunity to impart Python programming and Data Analytics to 40 fresh talents from the OCBC Graduate Talent Programme! The 40 participants from different departments of the bank ranging from HR and Marketing to IT worked in teams. Regardless of whether they had a background in programming, all were able to utilise their newfound Data Analytics skills for their business cases presentation at the end of the workshop.

t is that time of the year again for the National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI), modelled after the International Olympiad in Informatics, the reknowned international competition in competitive computing. Of the many students who participated, only the top 5 students from each school, at each level, are shortlisted for the Final contest and awarded medals. After the two intensive rounds were finally completed on 18th March 2023, we are proud to announce that 10 of our students have obtained medals in the 26th NOI 2023!
National Japan Microsoft Minecraft Cup 2022 - Winner of the Sustainable City Development Award!
Congratulations to team Urban Coders (ages 13 to 18) for winning the “Sustainable City Development Award” at the 2022 Minecraft Cup! 🏆
Congratulations to Woodgrove Primary for placing top 3 in the National Thinkers Challenge!
This year, we had the opportunity to coach Woodgrove Primary, who won the Most Feasible and Sustainable Award in the National Thinkers Challenge 2022 by Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan!
Out of 52 teams, the team placed in the top 3 and clinched 1 out of the 5 awards presented. This competition aims to let students think of innovative tech solutions and this year’s theme was food wastage, and the students created a prototype mobile app incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Tiny Thinkers at the kidsREAD 15th Anniversary Carnival
On 9th November, Tiny Thinkers was invited to celebrate the 15th anniversary of NLB’s kidsREAD programme. Tiny Thinkers had a booth for children to kickstart their Computational Thinking journey with our Junior Computational Thinking kit. The kit, developed by Tiny Thinkers and supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), allows children to plan a character’s story and also included hands-on activities for parents to complete with their children at home.
Coding Lab Cares! – Project We Care Garden Party at the Istana
The bi-annual social wellness event by the People’s Association reached out to 1,500 beneficiaries from low-income families, the less privileged children, and the elderly. Visitors to Coding Lab’s booth were treated to a programming feast as they got to code Photon robots to ‘eat’ mooncakes, ketupats, putu mayams and cupcakes (Each delicacy representing one of the major ethnic groups in Singapore!).
