Coding Lab Students Achieve Outstanding Results at the National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) 2025

We’re beyond proud to share that 9 of our #CodingLabStudents have clinched medals at this year’s National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI), clinching a total of 3 Golds, 1 Silver and 5 Bronze!

The National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) stands as Singapore’s premier programming competition, challenging students with complex algorithmic problems that test their computational thinking and coding prowess. Organised annually by the National University of Singapore, the NOI is modelled after the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and has been a cornerstone in identifying and nurturing young computing talents since 1998.

These remarkable achievements are a testament to our students' dedication and the rigorous training they undergo. At Coding Lab, we pride ourselves on our MIT-inspired, award-winning curriculum, meticulously crafted to nurture future leaders in technology. Since our inception in 2015, we've empowered over 30,000 students across Singapore, Japan, and online platforms, fostering a strong foundation in computer science and computational thinking.

Our educators, carefully selected by our founder—an esteemed MIT alumnus with experience in Silicon Valley—are passionate about guiding students through their coding journeys. Their commitment ensures that each student receives personalized mentorship, fostering both technical skills and a love for problem-solving!

Presenting to you Coding Lab’s NOI 2025 medallists:

  • Derrick Lukimin - Gold

  • Ziv Lim Zhengheng - Gold

  • Ahmad Dzuizz Annajib - Gold

  • James Caudle - Silver

  • Aye Yu Phyu Sin - Bronze

  • Jaehyuk Cho - Bronze

  • Caleb Asher Kusumo - Bronze

  • Ethan Goh Zhen Hao - Bronze

  • Zheng Junxin (Emily) - Bronze

Among our outstanding students is Caleb, who, at just 12 years old, secured a Gold Medal at the NOI 2025. His exceptional performance places him in strong consideration for selection to represent Singapore at the IOI, the most prestigious international competition for young programmers!

Some of our medallists have clinched top awards in previous years for NOI as well, such as Derrick who won the Top Secondary School Contestant award in 2024.

Beyond competitive programming, our students have also excelled in various arenas, from developing real-world applications to securing scholarships at top universities. These successes underscore our commitment to providing a holistic education that extends beyond the classroom.

Congratulations to all our NOI 2025 medallists! Your achievements inspire us, and we look forward to supporting your continued growth in the world of technology. Their outstanding coding abilities in our classes got them selected for our intensive NOI Preparation Course (By Invite Only) - Like Ziv, many of them started with us early, whilst still in Primary school. Kudos to all of our students for their hard work!
