Fresh off our Youth Day celebrations, we are thrilled to share another extraordinary milestone from our #CodingLabGirls! 💚
At the Technovation Girls 2026 Global Challenge, an astonishing 4 Coding Lab teams advanced to the global semifinals, earning the honour of representing Singapore on the international stage!
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is how our students dominated the national representation:
🌟 Beginner Division: Only 2 teams from the entirety of Singapore advanced to the global semifinals, and both are Coding Lab teams!
🌟 Junior Division: Out of the 3 teams from Singapore that made it to the global semifinals, 2 are Coding Lab teams!

For those unfamiliar with the platform, Technovation Girls is the world’s largest global tech entrepreneurship competition for young women aged 8 to 18. Each year, thousands of young female innovators from across the globe are tasked with identifying a critical real-world problem in their community, developing a mobile app or AI-based technology to solve it, and building a full business pitch to launch their solution.
Every project is built to address one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), teaching young girls not only how to code, but how to use technology as a force for social good, compassion, and global impact.

At Coding Lab, we teach our students that technology is about more than just syntax. It’s about empathy, resilience, and solving human problems.
“My teammate and I were super excited to be in the semifinals! We created this app because we want all kids to feel safe. It gives them a quiet, secret way to ask for help if they are in trouble. I am really proud that just the two of us could build something that helps other children. I am also grateful to our teacher for guiding and motivating us to keep going!”
