Congratulations to our 16 students who have achieved outstanding awards at HCIC 2026!

From testing their skills at the regional ASEAN Qualifiers to taking the global stage in Hong Kong, our talented #CodingLabStudents have once again demonstrated their passion, grit, and technical excellence at the 8th ICode International Youth Coding Contest (ICode4Good)! ๐Ÿ†๐ŸŒ

Competing against young coders from across the globe, 5 of our students advanced to the prestigious Global Finals in Hong Kong, bringing home a stellar haul of 1 Silver and 4 Bronze awards:

  • ๐Ÿฅˆ Nintarath โ€“ Silver Medal (Python Beginner)

  • ๐Ÿฅ‰ Julian โ€“ Bronze Medal (Python Advanced)

  • ๐Ÿฅ‰ Jacob โ€“ Bronze Medal (Blockly Beginner)

  • ๐Ÿฅ‰ Michael โ€“ Bronze Medal (Python Beginner)

  • ๐Ÿฅ‰ Joel โ€“ Bronze Medal (Python Beginner)

Out of our regional medalists, only top performers earned the coveted invitation to advance and represent Singapore at the Global Finals in Hong Kong!

Honouring Our ASEAN Semi-Finalists & Qualifiers ๐ŸŒŸ

Before reaching the global stage, our students put up an exceptional performance at the regional ASEAN Semi-Finals, competing across diverse divisions to secure Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards.

A huge round of applause to all our qualifiers who worked diligently through every challenge!

Nurturing Global Innovators Across All Ages

What makes our studentsโ€™ achievements at ICode4Good especially remarkable is how seamlessly their regular classroom learning translated to international success. Our medalists did not rely on endless, high-stress drill sessions or competition-specific cramming. Their wins were the direct result of the strong foundations built within Coding Labโ€™s standard curriculum.

Our progression framework is designed from the ground up to cultivate genuine problem-solvers:

  • Foundational Computational Logic: From as young as primary school, students develop algorithmic thinking, pattern recognition, and decomposition. Rather than memorising steps, they learn how to break complex problems into logical sequences.

  • Mastery of Syntax & Data Structures: As students transition to text-based coding, they gain an intuitive grasp of clean syntax, data manipulation, and algorithmic efficiency. Because they understand why code functions the way it does, tackling unfamiliar, timed challenge questions on an international stage becomes second nature.

By integrating real-world problem-solving, project design, and computational logic into our everyday lessons, our students naturally acquire the confidence, adaptability, and knowledge required to take on global competitions like ICode and emerge victorious.

At Coding Labยฎ, we take immense pride in supporting every student's trajectory, whether they are writing their very first lines of code since young or flying overseas to compete in international competitions. We celebrate Nintarath, Julian, Jacob, Michael, and Joel for their outstanding results, and we look forward to seeing where their passion for technology leads them next! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿš€
