Fun Techtivities in August!
August is here — and with it, Singapore’s 60th birthday! 🎉🎈 As we gear up for National Day and the SG60 celebrations, it’s the perfect time to explore the vibrant blend of culture, innovation, and creativity our city has to offer. From inflatable art to immersive journeys through history, this month is packed with activities that celebrate the past, present, and future of Singapore in high-tech style. Take this time to explore all the various SG60 events and see how technology is incorporated into our daily activities!
But first, a little #TechNews to set the tone! You know about Shazam - the app that can listen to a music clip and tell you the song details? Now imagine Shazam for whales 🐋! Scientists are using AI to track the sounds of whales in the deep Mariana Trench, the world’s deepest ocean zone.
By analyzing the unique vocalizations of these elusive creatures, researchers are gaining new insights into their behavior and migration patterns. This AI-powered tech helps identify whale calls amidst the ocean’s complex sounds, providing crucial data for conservation efforts and understanding life in the deep sea. 🌊
Curious about how AI is helping us listen to the ocean? Read more here!
Now that we’re all set, keep scrolling on to discover techtivities that you and your family can indulge in this month! ✨
